Vision
From Face to Face Trust
The growth of trust in our social relationships now demands an inclusive outlook. Though the Trust is not seeking to work in direct contact with children or vulnerable adults, it will work with their duly appointed teachers and carers.
The following is a statement of the unique formal objects of the Trust as approved by the Charity Commission:
To advance the education of the public, in particular but not exclusively by promoting the development and improvement of a wide range of life skills including, effective human communication, building self-confidence, assertiveness, social skills planning and organisation, relationship and social competence.
The vision and mission of the Trust is governed by these objects, set in a holistic perspective of becoming and being a responsible and responsive person. This vision includes:
- making a deep-rooted difference to society through its people by prompting new forms of learning and awareness concerning our human nature in the context of building an sustaining a life of sufficient contentment and equanimity;
- a research-informed, holistic view of persons and their capabilities;
- mediating, through both innovative practice and advocacy, radically new priorities for learning, given that trust, love and compassion are learned rather than innate capacities and abilities, that are, wisely for any society, handed down through the generations.
